“His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire” (Revelations 1:14)
…..His head and his hairs were white like wool.
This signifies Christ as the Wisdom of God.
He is the wisdom we need to have; not our own wisdom nor the world’s wisdom.
Therefore we should desire the Word of God above everything else, for through His Word, Wisdom flows.
Proverbs 3: 5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
…..And His eyes were as a flame of fire.
The flame of fire in Christ’s eyes represent His Light.
That nothing is darkness nor is hidden from Him. He knows every of our desires, thoughts and actions.
We are called to have light, and like Him, we ought to walk uprightly without any darkness or defiling things in us.
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Like the city of God in Heaven, we, as children of God ARE the city of God here on earth. Our lives should shine so brightly through Christ that others could see Christ living in us.
Being made as children of light is a daily transformation by the grace of God.
It is not easy, because it requires discipline and willingness from our part.
We need to have Faith, that His Words are true and has the ability to change our lives. And with that Faith, to put it into Action – by prayer, reading His Word and being filled with the Holy Spirit’s anointing.
May God continue to give us grace and sustain and prepare us be every ready to do His Good Work and to be His children of Light.
Praise the Lord!
